This client creates beautiful hand painted wood growth charts and other wood decor to celebrate milestones in a family’s life. She needed a logo that communicated this family feel in a welcoming, yet polished way. The tree element speaks not only to the wood she uses in her art, but also to the idea of nurturing and growth. The tree itself has a bit of a rustic, slightly imperfect feel that is both approachable and beautiful, much like the beautiful mess real family life can be. Beneath the tree, parallel bars of ground frame the company name and evoke the image of the growth charts she creates. The typography I chose for this logo is comprised of clean lines, like carefully measured pieces of wood, and playful feminine flourishes like the beautiful hand painted touches that complete her art. Social media graphics, business cards, and a rubber stump were the tools she chose to help her launch. I can’t wait to watch this business grow and prosper – Good Measure!
